A small update on our radio silence
So it turns out the end of February/start of March is a very busy time for us. Due to playing with Last Battle at Kid Canaveral's SXSW fundraiser on the 26th and Trapped Mice's EP launch on the 5th we've missed the last two radio shows. The next two weeks are also up in the air due to The Last Battle touring plans but hopefully there will be a show, so keep an ear out on freshair.org.uk between 6 and 7 Saturdays!

I Build Collapsible Mountains Session
On Saturday I hit the studio with Luke Joyce (I Build Collapsible Mountains) to take a second attempt at recording a session. If you listened to our show back on December 5th you would've heard Luke in studio with us but at the end of the show Charlotte unplugged the computer before it had saved the show meaning we had lost it all. On the plus side because we were recording off air we managed to get five songs recorded instead of the three we had before.

Loch Awe Session
Loch Awe came into the studio recently and recorded five session tracks for us. After forming in August they have already recorded their debut album entitled Artifical Life From A Digital Sea and have plans to go into the studio in January to record a follow up EP. They played How It Began, Ocean In Me and Resign from their album and two new tracks, one called Do No Harm and another which is so new it has to title! I'll edit the interview and upload it here later, and it will also be aired along with three of these tracks on Sunday 2 til 3 on freshair.org.uk when we will also have I Build Collapsible Mountains live in the studio.

The Last Battle Session
On Friday The Last Battle and Chasing Owls came in to Fresh Air and played us a few songs. I'm still waiting on the Chasing Owls tracks but here are three songs by Arwen and Scott of The Last Battle:
In an effort to clear myself of any nepotism I would like to point out that I had asked The Last Battle to come into the studio and do this session long before I was asked to join the band. Clearly I made a mistake in asking them to come in, should of asked Rage Against the Machine instead, always wanted to be Tom Morello... Anyways, hope you enjoy the session and I'll get Chasing Owls to you as soon as possible!

Over The Wall Session
This afternoon Glasgow's Over The Wall came into the Fresh Air studio and played us a few tracks from their brand new album. The band's full length debut 'Treacherous' goes on general release next Monday (the 22nd) and judging from their live tracks its definitely worth checking out.
We also did an interview which will be uploaded once I've edited out all the hilarity and aired on Found in Sound on Fresh Air - The Alternative next Sunday from 2 til 3. If you like what you hear they will be playing Leith Tape Club on a boat on the 27th November which has an excellent lineup also featuring Eagleowl, Withered Hand and FOUND.

Ross Clark Interview/Session
Just before heading out on a UK tour, Three Blind Wolves' frontman Ross Clark came into Fresh Air and played us a few songs spanning from his first solo album Anthems in Clams up to the latest single Echo on the Night Train and new song Golden Cross. The only Scottish gigs that I've found any information on will be at The Greenside in Glenrothes (or technically Leslie if you're a local) on the 18th November and at the Sneakyfest all day event on the 27th November along with bands such as And So I Watch You From Afar and of course Trapped Mice (hehe).
